ENID, Okla. — Jiffy Trip’s new 8,000-square-foot store is a monument to some of the hottest trends in convenience retailing.
There's a beer cave—something new to Oklahoma—seating, self-checkout, vast dispensed beverage selection, drive-thru and, of course, an expanded foodservice offer. And beyond that, there’s its modern design, a financial center and something called an H2O Cave—unexpected elements driven by a company philosophy that aims to win over customers for the long term.
“We wanted big and bright; we wanted to create something modern and open,” says Alex Williams, chief operating officer.
Jiffy Trip worked with design firm Paragon Solutions, Fort Worth, Texas, to create the Enid, Okla., site, the chain’s 28th and the company’s largest at 8,000 square feet.
Here's a look inside the big and bright store that opened in August ...
A white ceiling and polished concrete floor with accents of yellow and red provide a bright and modern design.
The one-of-a-kind H2O Cave is a refrigerated, 80-square-foot space that stocks multipacks of bottled water, sports drinks and CSDs.
Jiffy Trip says the store’s 400-square-foot beer cave is the largest in northern Oklahoma. It is accompanied by a four-door beer vault and a 16-foot open-air beer and wine cooler.
A separate Craft Beer Shop wall provides 16 linear feet of cold beer and wine options. To the left, a Financial Center offers a convenient all-in-one ATM, bill-pay kiosk, check-cashing kiosk and lottery vending machine.
Jiffy Trip’s two self-checkout stations are similar to those in the nearby Walmart, making them familiar to a majority of customers. There are also three full-service checkout positions.
A Made in Oklahoma rack underscores Jiffy Trip’s commitment to the community.
