PepsiCo is rolling out bubly burst, a lightly sweetened sparkling water with fruit flavors, bright colors, zero added sugar and minimal calories, to convenience stores and elsewhere.

“Since we created and launched the bubly brand six years ago, bubly has taken the sparkling water category by storm, skyrocketing to the No. 1 brand in awareness and the No. 1 most preferred sparkling water brand in the marketplace,” said Todd Kaplan, chief marketing officer - Pepsi and Sparkling Water, citing the Kantar Brand Mind Share 2023 Annual Report.

Bubly burst is available in Cherry Lemonade, Peach Mango, Pineapple Tangerine, Triple Berry, Tropical Punch and Watermelon Lime. All flavors are 10 calories or fewer with no added sugar and a burst of fruit flavor. The beverages come in 100% recycled PET single-serve 16.9-ounce bottles.

As the category becomes more mainstream, new consumers entering the space seek offerings with a stronger and slightly sweeter taste than a typical sparkling water, “while maintaining many of the same credentials that the sparkling water category is known for today,” Kaplan said. “That is what bubly burst is bringing to the table: sparkling water with a delicious burst of fruit flavor.”

Bubly burst brings consumers the same fun and playfulness as the core bubly brand with cheeky sayings and friendly salutations on the bottle and cap, Purchase, New York-based PepsiCo said.

Since 2015, PepsiCo has been on a journey to improve its portfolio, according to the company. PepsiCo products are enjoyed by consumers 1 billion times a day in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
